But at last in a back lane he finds a little shop with all sorts of interesting things to wear. Mr Benn enters the shop and, as if by magic, the shopkeeper appears! Written and illustrated by David McKee, Mr Benn first appeared in a book entitled Mr Benn - the red knight, in 1967, which was later turned into the first episode of the television series.
